CHRISTOPHER WEAVER is the President of Media Technology Ltd., a consulting firm specializing in computer software and telecommunications, and the Founder of Bethesda Softworks, one of the leading videogame companies in the U.S. Weaver was formerly Chief Engineer to the House Subcommittee on Communications for the US Congress, Vice President of Science & Technology for the National Cable Telecommunications Association and directed the office of Technology Forecasting for ABC in New York. He holds dual Masters and Doctoral degrees from Wesleyan University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he currently teaches part time and is a Visiting Scholar in the Comparative Media Studies Dept. and the Microphotonics Center. Technical advisor to the hit film, Independence Day, Writer/ Producer Dean Devlin and Director Roland Emmerich used Weaver as the basis for the character played by Jeff Goldblum in the movie. He has numerous interests that include flying, playing Baroque harpsichord music and kite building. His father, Richard Weaver, was treasurer of the Wing for over 30 years.
