JEREMY DOBRISH Recent Off-Broadway directing credits include Inner Voices: Solo Songs at the Zipper, Spain at MCC (Lortel nomination for Veanne Cox), Election Day at Second Stage (Lortel nomination for Lorenzo Pisoni), In the Wings at the Promenade, Drift for NYMF (outstanding performance award, Christian Campbell), Ted Kaczynski Killed People With Bombs for SPF, the musical The Joys of Sex at The Variety Arts Theatre, The Tutor, a musical starring Anthony Rapp at The York, Class Mothers '68, a one woman show starring Tony award winner Priscilla Lopez (Drama Desk nomination, best solo performance), and The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged) at the Century Center. Other Off-Broadway directing credits include WPA, The Kirk, Soho Playhouse, Actor's Playhouse, and two seasons with the Young Playwrights Festival. Regionally, Jeremy recently directed the musicals Spelling Bee at Barrington Stage and North Shore (first post Broadway regional productions), Myth at the O'Neill, Notes to Marianne at New York Stage and Film, The Girl in the Frame at Goodspeed, Terezin at the Village theatre and Sleuth at the Hangar. His adaptation of Curious George tours the country with Theatreworks USA. Jeremy has served as an Artistic Associate at Second Stage and was the Artistic Director of the critically acclaimed adobe theatre company from 1991-2004. Jeremy?s plays for adobe include Notions in Motion, The Handless Maiden, Blink of an Eye, Superpowers, and Orpheus & Eurydice, all of which are published by Broadway Play Publishing along with Eight Days (Backwards) which was produced by the Vineyard Theatre (dir. Mark Brokaw). His upcoming projects include directing the musicals Paul Revere at Theatreworks USA, and Signs of Life for Amas. Jeremy has taught playwriting, directing and audition workshops at NYU, Juilliard, The National Theatre Institute, Fordham, Washington Irving High School, through Young Playwrights and in Prague. He has spoken at Wesleyan, Brown, the College of Staten Island, Western Michigan University and Hofstra, and served on panels for ART/NY, The Dramatists Guild, the SDC Foundation and The Drama League. Jeremy is a member of the Dramatists Guild, SSDC, and is on the executive committee of the Vineyard Theatre?s Community Of Artists. He is represented by CAA.
