KATHLEEN TURNER Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? (Broadway), The Graduate (Broadway, London's Gielgud Theatre). Ms. Turner has also starred on Broadway in Jean Cocteau's Indiscretions and as Maggie the Cat in the 1989 revival of Tennessee Williams' Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, for which she earned a Tony nomination for Best Actress in a Play. Other theatre credits include productions of Travesties, The Seagull and A Midsummer Night's Dream. Recently, she starred in Sandra Ryan Heyward's one-woman show Tallulah, which she toured across the U.S. Ms. Turner made her film debut in Lawrence Kasdan's film noir Body Heat, for which she received a Golden Globe nomination and a British Academy Award nomination, followed by a starring role in The Man With Two Brains with Steve Martin. Ms. Turner received a Los Angeles Film Critics Association Award for her starring roles in Crimes of Passion and Romancing the Stone, for which she also won a Golden Globe Award for Best Actress. The sequel Jewel of the Nile followed, continuing the special pairing of Ms. Turner with Michael Douglas. She received an Academy Award nomination, a Golden Globe nomination and a National Board of Review Award for Best Actress for Francis Ford Coppola's Peggy Sue Got Married. Her role in John Huston's Prizzi's Honor, opposite Angelica Huston and Jack Nicholson, earned her a second Golden Globe Award for Best Actress. Notable film credits also include The Real Blonde, The Virgin Suicides, Baby Geniuses, The War of the Roses, Serial Mom, Switching Channels, V.I. Warshawski, Moonlight and Valentino, The Accidental Tourist and Robert Zemeckis' Who Framed Roger Rabbit? (supplying the sultry voice of Jessica Rabbit). Among numerous credits on television, Ms. Turner most recently played the role of Chandler's drag-queen father in the NBC-TV hit Friends as well as starring in Bravo's production of the classic fairy tale Cinderella. Last year, Ms. Turner was nominated for a Grammy Award in the Best Spoken Word category for her work on The Complete Shakespeare Sonnets album. Ms. Turner has been a member of Actors' Equity her whole career.
