The American Theatre Wing has always celebrated and supported the very best in theatre. Throughout its history, ATW has supported not-for-profit theatres, and starting in 2010 the focus of the National Theatre Company Grants will be to support the most promising emerging theatre companies from around the country.

To usher in the second decade of the century, we are inviting applications from companies or organizations that have been in continued existence for at least five years but not longer than fifteen years. Companies chosen to receive the grant will have articulated a distinctive mission, cultivated an audience, and nurtured a community of artists in ways that strengthen and demonstrate the quality, diversity, and dynamism of American theatre.

For the companies or organizations that best demonstrate these qualities, ATW will distribute ten (10) grants for the 2010 cycle in the amount of $10,000 each for general operating support. We encourage you to carefully read our guidelines and required materials to determine if your company is eligible to apply for this exciting funding opportunity.
